I came back from FOGCon on March 10th exhausted. Sat down, closed my eyes, and told myself I’d do a write up in a few minutes.
The next time I opened my eyes, it was March 31st. Oops.
It’s been a rough month. I’ve been dealing with some health issues (both mine, my family, and my pets), changes at my day job that did and didn’t happen, and my mental state hasn’t been the best. So writing kept being given a lower priority and put to one side. Now that things are more stable, I’m clawing my way back to a normal writing schedule.
That being said, with he help of several friends, I finally diagnosed what was wrong with the plot for Chaos Hunt, Chaos Wolf’s sequel. The good news is that most of the forty-five thousand words I’ve written can be used or adapted easily. The bad news is that I have a lot more writing to do.
The other projects I was working on either have been put on hold or have fallen by the wayside. Right now I want to focus on Chaos Hunt so I can get it published, most likely around this time next year. Posting here on the blog may be a little erratic depending on how absorbed into Chaos Hunt I get.
For now I’m going to crack my knuckles and dive into writing. Hopefully it won’t be another month before I come up for air.
