The Week That Was

So last week I wasn’t very good at time management.  I completely blanked out that Con-Volution is this weekend. I’m not a guest this time, but I will be participating in the Masquerade  I have to make a few modifications to my Maleficent costume and make sure that the music and costume description are ready to go.  I also need to write up some posts for my annual October post about Things That Go Bump In The Night and figure out if I am going to put the blog on hiatus while I’m at the con.

Writing wise I feel like I’m spinning my wheels, but I am getting things done. I am three chapters into the edit of Chaos Wolf.  I’m finding a lot of things I’ve needed to clean up, and a the first of a few minor plot holes that I have to fill.  I’m waiting to hear back about three short stories.  Two I should know if I am adding to my rejection pile within the next two weeks.  The third is in an interesting state of acceptance without being officially accepted.  I want to wait until all my i’s are dotted and t’s crossed before I say anything about it.

The thing that I have been focusing on this weekend is a happy event.  Popsicle, Sherbert, and Julius are now one year old.  My itty-bitty kittens are now big, fluffy cats. I have been giving them extra snuggles and treats. They have been accepting them as their due.

Over the course of the week, I plan to get as far as I can through Chaos Wolf, at least research the posts I had in mind,  I’m also toying with the idea of participating in #pitmad but I’m not sure I will have everything I need ready for it by the time it comes around.

So to sum up, lots of thing to get done, still not much visible progress, but I’m chugging right along.
