Week Four: Restarting(?) NaNoWriMo

This week has been overtaken by kitten related duties.  Julius and Sherbert are settling in and slowly learning that we aren’t huge monsters about to eat them, no matter how we nibble on their adorable little paws or snorgle their soft bellies.  Popsicle has obtained and surpassed her spay weight and will go in for surgery on Wednesday.  With any luck, she will be coming home on Saturday.

I have managed to squeeze in some writing time here and there, mostly when kittens and mom were asleep.  I received the feedback for “To The Point” and did a final polish pass.  I’m working on the cover letter and should be sending it out this week. If it doesn’t get accepted, I’ve got my eye on a few other places I can send it to.

Once that’s done, I’m going to resume working on NaNoWriMo.  At this point, I’m a good 10,000 words behind in word count.  I really doubt I can catch up and “win,” but I want to get back to working on the story at a steady pace.

I also need to redraft the outline of book two for my urban fantasy series, make another pass on a fanfic that I’m filing off the serial numbers from that has the potential to be a series of short stories.  I also had an idea for a children’s book based on something Julius did last night.

My focus is all over the place at the moment.  Much like my kittens!
