Metallicar Scarf

I’m a fan of the television show Supernatural, although I don’t get to watch it that often.  I do have to do some serious catch up to do for the last mumble-mumble seasons.  I liked the horror movie aspects, but mostly I was in love with that 1967 Chevrolet Impala, nicknamed by fandom the Metallicar.

While puttering around the net, I discovered this pattern for a dishcloth.  And in one of those flashes of inspiration, I saw it not as a washcloth, but an illusion scarf, like the alien one I had made.  And once I designed the pattern, I knew I wanted to share it.

I immediately contacted Concetta Phillips about modifying her pattern. She gave me her blessing.

I’ve made several of these scarves for charity.  If you would like to make one, you can find the Metallicar Scarf Pattern here at my mostly defunct knitting blog.  There is also a page for it on Ravelry.  Please feel free to send me copies of what you make with the pattern.

  1. That’s so cool. I love the concept of the Impala on a scarf. I just wish California had cold weather often enough to warrant scarf wearing. 😀
